No atmosphere - or so they say

I was flying around once, clicked on a planet. I hit F9, and read something about it. Said it had no atmosphere. So I flew real close to it.

Then I hear "Danger - entering atmosphere."

Methinks the game developers messed up.

Yeah, seems like they rushed things a little, but then again, they only had like 6 years or so.
Which planet Bwt?

Well they made the Neutron Star the size of a planet... when in actuality they're a little bigger then the city of Boston.

Wich makes the Neutron star about the size of Boston, seeing the much too small scales of stellar objects in FL... (Ever tried to compare it with your (1 manned!!) ship?? Either your ship has the size of a complete city or the planets have followed a really massive diet )

***Possible spoiler***

.

.

(...Anyone compared your (still 1 person-) ship with the Hispania??
If the sleeper ships where really that small, and now, about 8 generations later, they have spread over entire solar-systems with dozens of inhabited planets and stations, then they must have done some massive breeding there )

Like I've mentioned o-so many times before, we can't expect a completely realistic space simulator out of Freelncer; it just wasn't designed that way. Therefore, some things won't make sense. But hey, it's a game, not a simulator.

I was dissapointed that the planets didn't have animated atmospheres. Ever notice the planets in the menu screen's background? You see smoke billowing out of volcanoes and lightening flashing across the sky. It would've been nice to see similar effects in-game.

yes, that would have been something they could have and should have added. That's not asking for as much.

Oh, I thought that planet was having a nuclear war or something

So that will appear in the expansion-pack

Don't use your sig too often, it wears out...

Man, u down just explode when u enter atmosphere u burn not more not less, some people say that u can actually land on planets with limited access(they got no docking rings). U just have to fly towards it sometimes ul die sometimes land.
