weird situation

Not sure if this should be under the technical support or spoiler forum, so I thought I would start here.

I'm level 24, finished the main story, using the latest version (with the patch). Now I'm out and about exploring but when I look at my requirement for getting level 25, it says mission instead of a monetary amount. Is that normal?

If it is, great then I'll trying to figure it out. If not I'll poke around the technical support forum. Thanks.

It's a glitch. Just save the game, leave Freelancer, start the Freelancer again, load the game, and then do something that will affect your current worth.(like selling some comodity when it's above/below it's average value) If this still doesn't help, just make some serious cash, and you'll level up.


Careful what you wish... You might just get it.

Ive always heard if you buy a commodity and then re-sell it itll should change

I've seen this as well. Just take any old mission, even a level 1 will work. I kind of like it, as it's ALMOST like getting 2 levels for the price of one:O)

it seems to happen most when you do nothing but trade or sell stuff you find, but I think most are correct just go take any old mission and that should solve it.

Stand back I don't know how big it gets.

Okay, just to be clear on what I'm supposed to do. Sounds like all I need to do is go do some missions. Now I've done a bunch, both off the job board and for people in bars and I still see Mission as the requirement to level. Does anyone have anymore information? Do I have to go to some really old savegame or something? Thanks.

Had the same problem. For me, I uninstalled the game, then installed it again (not just a reinstall). Didnt patch to 1.1. Then, after I loaded up my game and looked at the mission log i finally leveled up (from 19 to 32 i might add). good luck that glitch sux

Oh, I'm glad I found the answer to this quickly! Yeah, I'm stuck at level 13. To get to level 14, I supposedly need 84,000 credits in total worth. Right now, I'm worth something like 840,000 credits. Guess I'll re-install and kick some butt!
