Change id???

Hello
Could someone tell me how to change the ID Key for the net when a new ID key is already in ???

Thanks a lot !

EDIT: What is this persistent need to use ALL CAPS all the time? Please, it's very annoying so stop.

Hmm, why would you want to change it?

I'd say, buy a new game.

Then, completely uninstall the game, delete every trace of it from you hard drive AND registry, and then reisntall from the new CD with the new CD key.

You might get the new multiplayer ID as well.

Just uninstall (completely, registry and stuff) and reinstall. You don't need any different cd-keys or stuff. The game will offer a new ID when you start the multiplayer first time.

Why would you want to change your id once you pick an id at the start of the game you should stick with it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would like to have the same ID on 2 different PCs, one at home (so i can be up all night playing FL) and one at work so I can play when the boss isn't in.

So there is a valid reason for changing your multiplayer ID, I have exported my registry settings for FL at work and will try it tonight on my home PC.

Changing ID is easy, and yes - having the same ID on both comps enables you to play the MP game from both computers using the same characters as well.

Reasons to change the MP id is that sometimes you get banned, and its often done by the MP ID. Nowadays people usually IP ban though......so it can also be to get rid of all MP characters and visited servers (so they no longer hog the top of your list) and start afresh once more.

Chips, you were right, it was easy.

At home :
I used the "Examine my account ID" utility from the start menu and printed it.

At work :
I uninstalled FL making sure to inlcude the SP and MP registry entries (cant remember now what it said exactly!), then installed again.
Went to multiplayer and changed the offered code to the one i printed at home,

So now I have the same ID at work and at home, so i get no sleep and will soon be looking for a new job... ah well.

Only level 9 but working on it!
