If anything, if the HH took lvl10 shields/weapons then I'd use it. It's a hard target to hit head on and handles almost as well as a light fighter. So more the case of education from my experience.

It's more the case of the ship for the job. I tried them all and found problems with both Sabre/Titan the Eagle has less problems.

let's do a little math with the assistance of windows calculator
eagle: 9900
titan: 12600
difference: 2700
let's see 15 hammerheads x 6 "really annoying reaver weapons" = 90 reavers
reavers do what, 160ish damage each? 160x90x8.33=119952 damage
i think i'll stick to evading the lasers...i really do hate math

I'd like to watch a DM with the Eagle Haters Clan on one side vs the Eagle Lovers Clan on the other. I suspect that in the first few passes the EHC would cause the most damage, but as the battle went on and players started pairing off the ELC would begin gaining the momentum. I suspect that a few Eagles might go down early, but after those few the Sabres/Titans would start going down in a rather consecutive manner.
Once your shields are down and your bats/bots are depleted, armour only delays the inevitable.

sandorski, I don't think so considering they all have the same shield, and according to my own experience the effect of the extra turret on the Sabre is minimal on the first pass. To gain first-pass-kills you will need sunslayer torpedos, and the extra hull on a Titan or Sabre makes no difference against a Sunslayer. It comes down to dodging skill, and the Eagles will give their owners a bonus.

I think theres a HUGE point here- The EAGLE and all other civilian vessels are normally more than enough of a match for any of the housed fighters- this is because civilain fighters r the strongest in the game, even my hawk could seriuosly hurt if not kill a titan, i am currently searching for an eagle but when i find it there will be no competition!
well several good points are made here, but the one not made very loudly is that one on one most or all rather vhf's with the same load out and a pilot of sim. skill will prob. be very close, I've flown all in the mp and barring turning radious have had good luch with most, now i fly a dagger and have lots more fun......
