Shadow Ships! What Shadow Ships?

TFK-Killermatrix does another fine modding job with 4 Shadow ships, but I can't get them to load through FLMM. The ships look great and I want them.
1. I went to Manhattan (where these ships are sold), sold my Sith Infiltrator and bought a game ship, did a quick mission to get an autosave without a modded ship, just to be on the safe side. I am running no incompatible mods (only the cruise speed boost to 1200 that comes with FLMM)
2. I downloaded the ships, opened them "Successfully" with FLMM, deactivated the starwars ship pack "successfully" and activated the shadow ships "successfully"
2. When I start the game and exit the opening movie the game begins to load and then crashes!
3. I tried repeatedly, and double checked everything, and disablesd the Autosave feature (whick causes the game to crash) according to FLMM. It still crashes.
4. I deleted the shadow ship pack and redownloaded it using the "OPEN" command on download (which seems to work well with finicky mods).

5. I noticed in the directories that ALL shadow files are in one folder under the SHIPS subdirectory! This is odd. Most ships have thier own folder.
6. I also noted that all four ships are docked in Manhattan and in Pittsburgh. I read elsewhere on this forum numerous times that only three ships could be sold in one place.

IS THIS MOD ONLY FOR BABYLON 5 MOD USERS????? If so, WHY doesn't it say so!?!? Over 1500 people have downloaded this mod.
Is anyone else having this problem?? What is the solution?

I had similar problems with other mods. You say you already used other mods.(flying a Sith Infiltrator), just buying an original gameship might not be enough. I guess you should rename your freelancer installation folder and do a complete new installation. Then install the modmanager. Go to your my documuments folder and move your savegames to anothet location. Then put one savegame back of witch u are sure you didn't use a mod with.
It's a bit of work but it worked for me when I had trouble.

Dude why even bother with mods come on the games good without them!!!

Thanks for the reply, but any mod that requires a re-install (and basically restarting the game) is not worth having. Especially just for ships!
There has tbe a better way.

As for not using mods (!?!?!), well, sure the game is a great one, but mods make it an even better one; especially if you played through the story and played a long time after that . Dude you need to take a look at the mods/downloads pages. Some people have done a great job. Besides if you really like the game, it is only logical that you would want a better ship. For example the star wars ship pack blows away the game ships with their combination of detail, power, handling, and overall appearance.

Has ANYONE gotten this mod to work in singleplayer without the Babylon 5 mod??

It's not necessary to completely restart the game. You just need to use a single savegame file in wich you didn't use any mods. I've kept one safe from right after finishing the campaign. Everytime I try a new mod I use only that savegame in my documents folder.

Something I found out, is that if you have a saved game with modded ships, at least, you can not get back into the game if you deactivated the mods. Just go back into the game with the same mods you had when you saved the game and it'll all be find. Just deleate the saved game, or move it out of the FL folder. What ever flotes your boat.

The shadow ships are wrong their are fly backward. Exemple: the smallest have a hole at the end: that isn't the engine, that is the only one weapon and the shadow ships doesn't have any visible engine becouse their are all living ships (organic). At the movie their front is the hole at the smallest the 4 "lance" at the fighter (scout in the movie) ...

Please correct the mistace on the flmod.

when u have any question to me or want some picture from the serie contact me at: [email protected]
