500k = one trip from New Tokey to Yanagy to NewBerlin and back = 30 min.

Or half an hour's work in a system with well-paid combat missions in hazardous areas. One of the Omega systems is nice and one of the Taus (exact names would be spoilers) because you can fly missions that pay $50k or more if you have at least a Drake or Banshee; the loot can be up to $50k..$100k per mission on top of the fee. A bit of creative mining in Dresden can also be lucrative - the ore has wings and is labelled 'Stiletto' - if you know which commodity is valuable there and where to sell it; let the other stuff drift away or shoot it so that it doesn't get in the way.

So you want a Tomahawk with only 25 cents ?

500k, sure it is too expensive, but I got my ways to get the cash...

Would Ferrari hold its prestige class if it cost the same as a Ford? I think not.

Its the same as any commercial purchase. You get what you pay for. You want bells and whistles, then you pay for them.

Just my $0.02, but it could just be the cardamine talking.

What's the problem with 500K? One good merchant run... Good ships should be a well earned rewards for hard work, not toys for every kid. IMHO, prices of ships and equipment should be c.a. 25% higher.

I hate mods with uberships and uberweapons for nothing (latest Millenium Falcon mod is a good example of monster-ship for lazy gamers).

If anything with the higher player levels achiveable, the ship/weapons prices[too low and mission pay outs[too high should be altered to reflect the new possible level of 99. But atm once at 38 thats it for a player, ok they made higher levels but with out there an achiveable end they dont mean anything.
