French->english patch

i thought youd be able to choose the laguage like in splinter cell or operation flashpoint...

im fluent in french so i understand the game but it just feels more "serious" in english

Why is there a French version? The French got left behind in the old solar system and got blown up. (There shouldn't be a Russian version either -- they were the baddies who chased us off into space in the first place.)

Puke Barwalker: what are you talking about? the game is marketed in France, and the French think that they'd get more local audience if there was a French version, so they made one. It didn't have anything to do with the factions in Freelancer. It was a marketing decision.

Is your windows installed as French? If yes change its locale settings to english and then reinstall the game.
