Where are save games savec on HD? (to uninstall / reinstall)

Savegames are stored under the user data directory for your Windows user account:

My Documents\My Games\Freelancer\Accts

The actual name of the "My Documents" folder depends on the language of your Windows version, and the name of "My Games" probably depends on the language of the game.

also for online the online userID is via the C:\GAMES\Freelancer\EXE\myflaccountid.hta file, double click that or you will loose all online characters when you reinstall.
