It is spelled Rheinland!

Well, because of my own bad English, I normally would not complain about errors in one's spelling. But browsing through these forums I really wondered about the fact that almost no one can spell Rheinland, while reading it so often (I guess most people posting to this board play Freelancer more than just one or two hours a week).

P.S.: If you wonder why I make such a stupid post, imagine you would come from the following region/country/city (not really hard to figure out their right name, hu?) and everyone would call it "Welas", "United States of Americo" or "Tokya".

Btw.: Don't wonder about me, I'm just a little tired (00:20 here)

Bordkanonier, the correct spelling is Rhineland ; "Rheinland" is German. Same difference as Gdansk vs. Danzig.

Ehm, the official page says Rheinland, and so does the game itself. So I guess it IS Rheinland. (Unless for some reason my copy of Freelancer is the "Secret Rheinland-Version" which is limited to one copy and was to be sold in Sibiria [correct English spelling? but somehow was shipped to me instead)

The Merkian language edition of the game uses both "Rhineland" and "Rheinland" in various places. However, using the German variant in this forum poses a couple of problems with regard to grammatics, Mr. Rheinlander.

The game is more consistent with regard to Valkyrie vs. Walküre, for example. And what is a Banshee in German?

On a related note, I liked the green theme for emissions of Rhineland gear (engine/missile exhaust, weapon projectiles etc.). Even the bomb dropped into the underground dig site on Sprague had a green glow. This gives Rhineland ships a distinct, unmistakable note.

IN GERMAN its rhEINland. in english its rhINEland. because of the Rhine River, but the Germans spell it Rhein River. if youve got a problem with that, take it up with some German equivalent of Webster, not with the author of this post...

The game says Rheinland, and I've never seen Rhineland anywere in it.

Their both pronounced the same in German or English, so either way it dosn't matter. I'm Austrian myself, and if someone said "Rhineland" i would understand it totally.
