Aww Man, that sucks. Had to sell my Blood Dragon for it cuz I was out of money and badly beaten up. The Anubis it too slow IMHO. What a crappy ending.

yea i think the anubis sucks too. i read about "everyone" using drake and thought i'd give it a try and damn. i would've never bought anubis if i'd known how great drake is

Me too, first time thru the game. Just too cheap to pass up, and I needed cash.
Bought too many torps. I considered the Anubis a Freighter after SP.

That is what I started doing now. Making about 75,000 on goods alone one way.
A little more with stuff I get from fighting. Not to bad. I'm using a armor uprade 2 from thr rebalance mod which takes up 10units.

I found it pretty odd that Kusari's ships, the Drake and the Dragon both have the same weap classes, while every other houses LFs and HFs have diff weap classes.

Yep the Drake is a great ship the manuverability makes up for the smaller weapon load out. I have myself, as most know by now, gone all the way thru FL with just a light fighter Starflier, Bloodhound, Cavalier, Drake/ Hawk .

I also went all the way through with just freighters, Rhino, Mule, Drone, Drom, all of it was great fun and really challenging.

Someone suggested to try it in a Liberty light fighter like a Patriot or a Starflier or Startracker. I guess your bragging rights would be all set with those! Man all the way thruough with no MODS or cheats! I may be a glutton for punishment but I mean really how good would you have to be to get to the end in one of those ships?!

As far as the free ship goes yep the Anubus was it as cheap as it was and the way it flies like a freighter they SHOULD give it away! LOL, The first time through I couldn't figure out why I was getting hit so much. I was dieing about every other mission, so I reloaded a saved game before I bought the Anubus. I think I had a Dragon HF, it was much more manuverable than the Anubus and I made it to the end without dieing a hundred times. I helps if you have done a lot of trade runs/ missions so you have a good load of money in the bank before you start off on the final leg of SP.

Those cheaper weapons are cool though as they do have a little punch to them so I do recommend you take advantage of those, Buy two there cheap!

pressgod , beating the game with a Patriot was actually easier than with a Dagger; Starflier and Startracker are probably much more difficult. The stats of the Starflier are not wildly different from those of a Patriot but it cannot dodge quite as good, so mission 11 could get very tough. Mission 12 could get tricky, too; I just barely managed to stay within the time limit in the Patriot which has a 30% bigger powerplant than the Starflier.

I would love to see a screen shot of your patriot hanging around in the Dyson Sphere that would be a cool looking one to post!

I had a Screen Shot of my Drone Blowing the first tower inside the Sphere as my wallpaper, but when my system crashed I lost all of my games and my hard drive. So a total reload with no games from the past, now I am running with the Balance Mod 1.4 so new ships and challenges await.

Your system crashed? I wana take a guess...You tried to boot up and it said windows was missing a file, gave you the option to restore (wiping HD) or to boot DOS from the CDRom(does nothing), So really the only choice was to restore and lose everything.If this is what happened to you then that makes 5 people I've talked to that had the same thing happen to 'em including myself.There has to be a link as to why, I was in Kansas City for 5 days and this happened when I got back and booted up so it wasnt anything I did myself, the pooter was workin' fine when I left and nobody was here.... The only reasons that come to mind are A: ME is a rotten whore of an OS or B:Spybot S&D worked a little too good on some spyware that linked to my windows file.At any rate post back if this happened to ya I would like to know b/c my radeon stopped workin after this and I'm afraid to put another in and burn cash.

SAME THING happened to me. Missing setup.ini file I believe it was. I had to replace whole hard drive. (it imploded) This might be a bug with the game. I think one of it's setup files get placed into the win directory, OVER-WRITING a pre-existing setup file. It then erases it at a later time.
