can i use 2 missile launchers at the same time?

i beat sp, got my sabre, got tired of owning everyone, so i went back to liberty, bought a dagger and started working for the local criminals.

its got 2 drails, 2 barragers mk2 and a barrager turret. what i want to know is if i take out my drails and put in 2 slingshot missile launchers, will they lauch missiles at the same time when i press the shoot missile button?

Yup, but remember that you only get 50 ammo total, that's for both missile launchers - you'll only get 25 shots.

I know what you're thinking. Did he fire six shots, or only five? Tell you the truth, in all the excitement I kind of lost track myself. Being as this is a .44 Magnum, the most powerful hand gun in the world, it'll take your head clean off. So you gotta ask yourself one question - do I feel lucky? Well......do ya? Punk?

Plus, you want one Homing and one non-Homing mounted.

The reason is that the 90m/s and 99m/s means they won't run into each other,
and they CAN do that. I've tested this on fast asteriods & seen it happen.

2? Hell, you could use as many as your ship has hardpoints for them. They all drain the same ammo store, unfortunately, so more than 2 is going to be an EXTREME waste of cash, unless you can get them to hit 100% of the time.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

cool!

i got 2 slingshot lauchers on my dagger and, since im pirating, they kill nerly anything in liberty in on shot if both missles hit.

itd be nice if theyr had 50 missiles each, though.

my typical titan/saber/eagle config is 2 nomad cannons, 2 silver fire (unified 3.03 refire) and 2 cannonball missles... against even the rank 19 bounty hunter ships you fight in the omicron alpha/gamma missions as soon as shield drops 2 cannonballs is an immediate, lovely, "swish" of them going boom in one volley =D

i personally dont see the value in homing missles... you will tend to be able to fire them at just about the same angles, and the few extra seconds you might get out of a homing missle is pointless compared to vaporizing anyone without a shield instantly. i dont use tizzie's del cids so shields is normally moderately challenging to drop... but in theory 2 groups of 2 cannonballs and dual tizzie del cids would mean you could probably wipe out a squad of 5 or 6 in the first pass..

2xTizona 1xCBall 1xFirestalker 2xCannons(or 2x Salmanaca mk I on a BH VHF) And you can kill any thing in the first head on.

On the internet I met one who had his ship loaded full with Firestalkers. Just imagine how rich you have to be just to fight.

Wouldn't you go like -100k even if you complete one of the mose well-paid missions due to ammo restocking costs? *Horror*

I put a couple of Moonstalkers on my Anubis in SP...ended up spending probably about 25k per mission in re-stocking...ridiculous really. Missiles aren't even THAT good. Not making THAT mistake again =O)

Yeah, I used to use missiles all the time, but I stopped after I realised that it was just draining my cash (and inhibiting my level growth). Now I use nice guns.

I did think about moutning a variety of different launchers so that I wouldn't run out of ammo... but missiles are just rubbish.

I usually use two different types myself like the cannonball and the firestalker. The amount of damage they do when you are thrusting in engine Kill toward your target is more than any gun could ever hope for and their shields just vaporize when hit by that in combo with your guns and mines.

Plus they use no energy and as such you can run a bigger loadout of power hungry weapons without worry. (yea I know there are weapons that use no energy so don't even go there ok). For the average player with a meduim ship missles are a useful tool to help in a tough fight.

I have seen players on MP take out Titans and Sabres with a smaller class ship using the right combo's of guns and missles. And with very little damage to there own ship due to it's higher turn ratio and agility vs VHF. I still use them for that very reason speed of the kill.

Initially it pays off to use missiles...i got used to it...but, as mentioned before, they're a real money drain hazzard...Now, after SP being beaten, i don't use them...i find it more fun to shoot down guys with torpedoes...it isn't rewarding...just fun...

Anyway think of it this way...nothing stops you from mounting 6 rocket lanchers in your wings and go in blazzing at every poor soul you take on...hell, if you take one representative of each missile familly you're sure to get any guy in a single missile wave...the bad thing is you may run out of them im midst of the battle and a missile launcher without ammo is a wasted weapon station...energy weapons recharge...missiles don't...too bad

Doesn't matter...as long as torpedoes are available

i would only reccommend using missiles against npc's!! even the average player has the ability to use the afterburner when the missiles get too close!!! and even their piloting skills should be anough to avoid them!!, a good option when on multiplayer (however only against lower class pilots) is to use mines, they tend to try and track straigh behind you and as they dont have a really high shield, bamn 2 mines and their dead!!
