I'm as sure as heck coming back to this Thread in 1 week.

Actually, dreams about upcoming events are quite common among those with high anticipation levels. You did say that what Juni was wearing looked like something you saw in the Matrix, right? Well, the brain (depending on the composition and wavelengths) will piece together different tidbits of information into one large tidbit of information. With what you described, Freelancer is probably one of the top things you do every day or whenever you have free time. The Matrix is probably lurking in the back of your mind and you're thinking, "I really wish I could see that again." or "That movie was the best." So your brain would piece together these two things into one. You are probably very curious about what REALLY happened pre-Freelancer post-Starlancer.

A detailed psyco-analysis of The Mole- I have nooooooooo life.

If I'm wrong, don't blame me, well, ok, blame me; but it's just like those personality tests- most of the time- wrong.

Cardamine, Cardamine. Everybody wants Cardamine.

Actually, guys, dreaming about video games isn't all that unnatural.

One time, I had a terrifyingly real nightmare that one of my favorite game fansites had closed down. With a horrifyingly insane final message, the webmaster said that the servers were down, forever. I still think that the trauma that resulted from that nightmare has stayed with me to this day.

When I awoke at five in the morning from this nightmare, on the verge of screaming, I went back to sleep to my own detriment. I opened my eyes to see that hazy golden light filtering through the window. I knew that I was dreaming, but I didn't do the forbidden thing of insisting out loud that it was all just a dream. THAT has the tendency to wake me up instantly. Whenever I think it out loud, I usually see the shocked looks on characters faces for a split-second before I awake.

Well, I looked about my dream-world room from atop my bed, and saw nothing out of the ordinary. My computer was there on my desk, my door was closed, my (real, life-size, functioning) Superbike was sitting on its stand in the corner (yes, it's like that in real life too), and in the center of a room, a gigantic box with every game and console imaginable sat, full to the brim... all stacked and organized inside like some sort of perverse Jenga puzzle. I reached inside it, caressing the hardware and software. Pulling out brand-new consoles and games... both next-gen and old-school, PC or console. I giggled like a little baby, hugging the games... keeping them close to my heart. I closed my eyes and smiled. This was the dream of a lifetime for a teenage geek boy like me, even though I knew that I'd never have the time to hook them up and play them before the dream was over. And then, I heard a familiar voice say "Hey". I could tell whoever said it was a little angry. I opened my eyes, and looked at the person standing in the doorway. It wasn't just him. There were many more like him in the hallway. My eyes bugged out. I dropped the Half-Life Platinum Collection 2nd Edition to the floor... it clattered about... the shifting sound of instruction manuals and disks bonking about inside it.

It was the Master Chief. The Green-Armor clad cyborg from the Xbox's flagship title, Halo, was crouching down, with his battle rifle at the ready, although it wasn't pointed at me. Standing next to him, with his arms crossed, was Sonic The Hedgehog. Behind the two, in the hallway, were Edison Trent, Samus Aran (without her suit), Lara Croft, Mario, Yuna, Max Damage, Max Payne, Serious Sam, Gordon Freeman, Nathan Zachary, etc. I could tell who was there because some of them peeked up above those in front of them, while I could also tell from other identifications they were holding up. I could tell Yuna was there because of the staff with the blue handle and the golden circular end with the unmistakable cutouts was sticking above the heads of other characters. I could tell Max Damage was there because he held up the finger with his skull ring on it. Most of them just peeked around others, though, reavealing the most important thing of all. They were all frowning... at least the ones whose faces I could see. The Master Chief continued to speak as I took all this in with the few short seconds of pause.

"You think those are YOUR games? If you had any idea how much work we put into making those a fun experience for the player, you would probably give 'em back out of guilt."

Samus followed up the MC's little speech.

"Retreading the same places over and over for the millionth freakin' time wasn't fun at all! Do you have any idea what it feels like to get hit by a missile when you enter enemy-owned installations? If only I could punch you that hard..."

Sonic concluded the lecture.

"Do you know how many times I fell into an infinite oblivion? Seriously... last time, I thought my stomach was going to go through my brain! And you..."

He pointed at me.

"... You're the worst. Do you know how many times you made me drown, you little son of a..."

And then... all was quiet. Sonic resumed crossing his arms. The MC shook his helmet disapprovingly, and Samus raised her head, letting out a quiet, disgusted little "hmph".

I blinked a few times, dumbfounded. When I reopened my eyes on the last blink, nobody was there. The door was closed... the box and the games were gone... the gold light was gone. I got up and walked around. After a few steps I could tell that this was the real world and I had woken up for real this time. What a ride... and what a heartbreak, too. There was a Sega Genesis in there!... Somewhere...

some of you guys seriously have issues. but @Mole, i think taats quite rational, and i hope it does end up like that. trent gets squashed and killed in a firefight.. with 6 battleships and 12 cruisers and 40 gunboats and 100 rheinland valkaries and 200 titans and 300 eagles and 400 sabres and 500 hammerheads and 40 more nomad battleships..
ok nvm.
