One step at a time guide to get the Whitestar

Okay, i was so impressed by this game that i splurged to get an original.

Now for the best part.

I would like to fly the Whitestar in the storymode.

a) What should i download?
b) How do i install?
c) Where can i find it?
d) Will the above steps work with all custom made ships?
e) Can it be the default ship or at least available on Manhattan?

Who should i give the kudos for this creation?

*Is there a mod to get the Titan on Manhattan in storymode?
*Is there a God Mode?

Forget the Whitestar
Many people have had problems with the white star ship mod, just check the forums. I assume it can't be added to single player very easily, because no one has responded with a solution that doesn't require some programming.
I did e-mail the modder, he is a nice guy and wrote a very good response, but it was in German and the translation web page provided just enough of a cyrptic translation to create another whole game just to solve it. One screw up in the right place and you can crash the game.

I hope someone reads this and shows how to add it to single player.

Meanwhile, check out Porsche's Star Wars ship mods, especially the Starighter or Sith Infiltrator. You won't be dissappointed!!! The new pack should be out any day now which includes the Sith. Wait for it.

Cheat codes and trainers can be found on any of hundreds of cheat code sites. But to find the file you need to modify for God mode you will have to do a search on your hard drive. It is not with the rest of the program. Enough said.

Warning: There is nothing wrong with a little assistance as a newbie, but the money -type cheats will ruin the game for you, do not use them, and you do not need them. Look for wrecks in the game. Have fun

I've gotten it to work perfectly in sp after the main story.

Just copy the 3 whitestar.* files into your DATA\Ships\babylon\ directory.

make sure they are in that folder exactly as it is spelled.

place r_cruiser1.ini into \DATA\COCKPITS\rheinland (or all of them if you want purchase it elsewhere) and extra.dll into \EXE
Here's the most important part that most people forget:

go into the install_readme.txt in the whitestar folder and copy the codes into the *.ini files that are named above each segment.

It should all work when you launch the rebalance mod.

I wouldn't recommend playing the story campaigns with this ship, though.

It's HUGE and very difficult to maneuver, and would be impossible to pilot in the latter missions in the asteroid fields, not to mention being unable to dock with essential objects.

The Jedi Lancet is one sweet starfighter.

That`s it, I am going to learn to make ships.

Is the only way by copying ship data from other games or is there other ways?

I had alot of issues too when i was trying to get it to work. I had just about given up when i tried the latest Rebalence Mod 1.1b2, found here http://www.lancersreactor.com/t/downloa ... asp?id=268

The White star is for sale on Planet New Tokyo, bring your checkbook, it rocks. It's basically a battleship killer right out of the box. I found that for warding off fighters it's best to use just the wing turrets and only activate the forward guns for larger ships so that your aiming isn't messed up.

Fuzzy Monkey and Fiddlestyx
Thanks for the info, but I think that a lot of people are trying to get it to run in the regular single player game, not the Rebalance mod. Is this possible (assuming use after the story levels are done)?
Thanks for mentioning the largess of the ship. It also sounds too powerful.

Plus, Fuzzy Monkey, What did you mean when you said to go to the read-me file (OK so far) "and copy the codes into the *.ini files that are named above each segment." ---Into which .ini files, and what segments??
Sorry if I sound dumb here, but a lot of people want to know how to do this. In fact, you could make a seperate post on it.
Thanks
