Joining factions in MP

When you make a character in an MP server, it automatically allies you with the Liberty Navy, puts Navy in front of your name, and makes the Liberty Navy flash in your reputation list. In the game manual, it shows some people flying around with Interspace on their names. So is it possible to have a faction attached to your name (eg. Corsairs - Spiro or Dragons - Spiro) ?

Yup, it's possible, but the problem is that the tag system is all screwed up. I have seen someone wearing a corsair tag, while the corsairs were his greatest enemy.

But it should be possible to get a corsair tag. Just do a lot of missions for them, and you should be fine.

I have liberty navy still... this is AFTER I went on a psychotic killing spree in liberty. Liberty hates me, corsairs love me, yet my tag is liberty. Oh well. I don't think it matters.
