Does anyone here prefer the Light Fighters to the Heavy?

Of course, I jes lurv the wicked punch of the the Titan but I'm halfway through the SP again this time in a Light fighter - and man, can those boys twist, shimmy and manouevre. The enemy is never out of this little baby's gunsights.

Does anyone else prefer the wasp to the eagle?

I do. I love the Dagger and the pirhana. They rock. Especially, the pirhana.
It' extremely hard to hit in a fight.

I do as well, but would have prefered even better agility and higher speed and acceleration to compensate for lighter hull, weaker shields, and fewer weapons. Can't wait to fly the Drake.

The Banshee is an awesome craft. It's not my favorite-LOOKING light fighter, but it is the best light fighter because of its 5/7 power grid.

Some of the lower-powered heavy fighters aren't too bad to steer, but saying that any heave fighter is light and agile compared to a VHF.

I'm currently flying a falcon and the maneuvarability change is noticable (switching from an eagle).

Not so true, Will. The Hammerhead (a VHF everyone forgets) can out-turn heavy fighters like the Centurion and Stiletto. At least, that's my experience.

The Eagle has a turning radius of 80 degrees per second, which is comparable to most of the Light Fighters. The Drake's 100 degree per second turn rate is the best in the game. 4/6 power grid, and I finished the SP in it. . . . Found it much easier than trying to use the HF's in the SP.

Currently in the Sabre with Nomad weaps and Salamancas. Will go back to the Eagle -- eventually.

The only light I bought volantarily would be the hawk. I stick the heavy fighters. I can't stand VHF and wish they would make H with better wep. But that doesn't matter anymore. I now fly the Coriellan Corvette. It's on the frontpage if you haven't seen it. Even if you don't mod (I never have until now) it's easy to put in and I swear, just imaging a ship with awesome speed, more weapon mounts then you can shake a stick at, VHF class shields and 575 cargo space! That ship would work for anything!

Drakes kick ass. You can out fly a starflier in one of those babies!

Still, the VHF's are always good for a laugh, head into libery/rheinland etc while hostile with their police forces or even just start shooting up a base - you can be as lazy a pilot as you like, its always a good laugh exterminating them, kinda the FL equivalent of storming through Doom on god mode

lol. With a Brigandine c10 shield, the Liberty police can shoot you up all they want but the recharge rate will still be higher than the amount of damage you recieve. It is good for a few laughs
