Unknown Jump gate in New York

I was exploring the New york system in early single player when I saw something in the distance from Fort Bush.
I went to investigate and as i got closer I selected it... It was an unknown jump gate... I tried to get close but there were THOUSANDS of mines between me and it, each powerful enough to destroy the ship with one hit, and close enough to prevent anyone from passing without triggering a mine. Does anyone know a way around the cloud of mines or even where the jump gate leads to?

It's part of the SP campain. you can only accsess it in a certan mission...

I think you may be talking about the Alaska jump gate. Every thing on that system is CLASSIFIED.

It's not the mines that kill you, there's a killzone or something there that exploderates you

SP = Single player
MP = Multi-player
PvP = Player/Person versus Player/Person

It is the alaska jumpgate, there is a mod that opens it post-SP.
