Swapping Weapons is Expensive!

When I swapped ships, the AI put a class 3 weapon on a class 4 hardpoint and a class 2 weapon on a class 3 hardpoint.
I now want to buy a class 4 weapon, so I need to sell my class two and move the class 3 to the class three hardpoint. I can find no way of doing this other than selling both weapons and buying the class 3 back, which is expensive!
Any tips?

Well first off, you could have saved your self alot of money by reading the manual in the first place.

There is that little icon in the upper left corner of your weapons if it's closed then your weapon is mounted, if you click it it will open and your weapon is now unmounted, thats how you change your weapons.

Remeber this only works when you have landed on a planet or docked somewhere.

thanks for the tip on how tho exchange weapons, i looked in the manual but couldn't find anything. so searched the FAN Sites for help
