Freelancer Savegame

I am in desperate need of a freelancer savegame file!

My computer died a few days ago and with him i lost my freelancer savegames.

I ve been somewhere around mission 10 and i just cant (or want) play through all the missions again so if someone knows a place where i can find a savegame or send one to me i would be very happy.

I will give you my email as soon as someone is willing to send me a file.

Thanks
Starlancer

Starlancer11, judging from the date stamps of your messages it would seem that a whole month has passed since you reached mission 10 before your computer died. I think a savegame of that mission would be worthless to you now because at that particular point in the campaign there is little chance for practicing your skills by freelancing etc., but you'll need those skills a few minutes later.

You'll probably have much more fun if you replay the campaign until you are in Chugoku again, to regain your lost skills. This can be done fairly quickly - say, four to five hours - if you use certain tricks to speed up your progress. I have posted a plan with detailed steps in a similar discussion in the spoiler forum.

I think you'll enjoy the replaying the battles because they are much easier for you now, and if you reach Kyoto then you'll be in better shape for the things to come. If there are certain missions that you'd rather not fly again then you may have been approaching them from a wrong angle or with ships/weapons that make the missions more difficult, like trying to use heavy fighters instead of light ones. You can get tips in the spoiler forum. If you cannot find the answer in the posts that are there already, just ask.

Hey Sherlog, did you ever stop and think that if he wanted to replay the missions, he wouldn't have stopped and taken the time to asked for a saved game. Christ, everytime someone asks for a d*mned file you people just tell them what to do, or how to play. I dont think you know how irritating it is reading a whole f*cking forum and seeing this sort of thing every d*mn time someone asks for a saved game, someone either flames them, or tells them how to play. Knock it off, it's rude.

Hey BrainF, did you actually read my bloody post before writing your response? Mission 11 is one of the toughest in the campaign, and I think it is sure to be a very frustrating experience to try it without having some basic skills. Also, I do not think it is common knowledge that you can fly all campaign missions back-to-back and so go through the campaign really fast. That is why I wrote what I did, so that Starlancer11 could make a better informed decision. I did not flame him or tell him what to do, I merely presented new information and an alternative viewpoint.

@BrianF : I see no flaming etc. in Sherlogs post, its honest advice. I sent the OP a save, but said the same - replaying will prob be easier.

I hope your irony alarm bells are ringing too, 'cause i see Sherlog bailed you out with a save
