im in rheinland at the moment, and they pop up every now and again in news stories, what does LWB stand for?

It stands for a German word..but I'm pretty sure that they are the "farmer's allaiance" of Rheinland.

Yes, they are the Farmer's Alliance of Rheinland - "Landwirt" is German for farmer, "Recht" is right and "Bewegung" is movement. Thus, the Farmers' Rights Movement.

They have a base in the Stuttgart system, if you want to work for them.

LWB is about 13K away from a tradelane that always carries high ticket items. Wil a base nearby in a poor sensor zone, and a handy jumphole nearby, it is one of the sweet spots in the game for freebooters.

Ahhhh, German... I used to live in Holland, and Dutch is very similar to German... ACHTUNG!!!! Hmmm, I forgot how to speak Dutch so i forgot how to speak a bit of German... But i still recognize and can understand it a bit

The Germanic and Norse languages represent compounded concepts with equally compounded words, the length of which is in principle unlimited. According to my old (1989) Guinness Book of Records, the "longest" German word is "Donaudampfschiffarhtselektrizitätenhauptbetriebswerkbauunterbeamtengesellschaft". By comparison, the longest word in Danish (a Norse language) is "Landsbyskolelærerenkealderdomsforsørgelseskasseselskabsbestyrelsesnæstformandssuppleant". The longest Swedish word is another 16 letters longer.

Oh, yes. Note that "Schiffart" is the old spelling. The recent spelling reforms in Germany have changed it to "Schifffart".
