Original Freelancer Intro

I was just wondering if it is still possible to download the original intro?
I didn't see it in the download section.
Though, I could be blind.

Thanks!

is it posible to import this version into the game on start up? Or would that lead to crashes?

It's not a game. Only the original concept of the story. The story then changed to what we have now, and the game is built on the new story concept. There is absolutely no FL based on the original story concept.

Fear Factor, why are you rambling on about the 'original story concept'? It has NOTHING to do with what Mercenary asked. He asked if there's a way to play the old into (i.e. a custom video file) in place of the new intro that plays on start-up. If someone knows a (reversable) way of doing that, I know I'd be interested.

Fair enough but why not just play it with WMP? I don't see the advantage of importing it into the game.

Hey, I think I've discovered a way!

I went to Freelancer\DATA\MOVIES and I found the 3 video files that play on startup. I assume that if you remove "fl_intro.wmv" (best just to move or rename the file) and replace it with another file w/the same name and file type, it should work.

Oh wow... so THAT'S who the narrator is...
I thought it was weird that you never hear from/see the narrator again...
Haha, I liked how they used Star Trek 2 music.

I always thought that when the narrator says, "We will never forget", he was refering to the Coalition...

Add-on pack!
