Click and Drag vs. Mouse Flight

My main problem with Freelancer is that my reactions for some reasons suck big and I am rubbish in combat, even against the puny level 1 rogues on the first mission. But I want to know what you all prefer:

Click and drag: Where you have to press the left mouse button to move

or

Mouse Flight: Where the ship moves wherever the mouse moves

or

A mixture of both?

Please give me you opinion

Mix of both, Click and drag for most non dog-fighting situations.... and mouse flight for dog-fighting

Yeah, I always use mouse flight to dogfight, or when I'm hauling contraband or am doing something else that requires me to be ready for a fight or flight situation.

For combat I use mouse flight, but for just freeflight and trading i use click and drag.

click and drag is much easier to handle when just flying or doing trade runs (especially when you need to use your map or something and mouse flight is just flying your ship in circles). but for fighting, mouse flight is better because you dont have to hold left click, then use right click to shoot.

yep, same here. Click & drag for flight, and mouse for combat.

Keyboard for normal flight(where I usually am using goto or dock so maneuvers aren't needed), mouse flight for everything else from combat to looting to mining etc.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

I use mouse flight for combat too. That way I can use my mouse wheel to shoot missles.

I never use click and drag...

just use mouse control and the rest of the navigation buttons..

here's a hint : get a good optical mouse. Got that? 'OPTICAL'..

Trent : uhh[!..No?..
Juni : Well I did. Babble..babble..bla..bla..bla..
Trent : (Ok...ok.. do I get to sleep with you or not?)

That reminds me to REMEMBER that I can use click and drag... I've burnt myself more than once when the stupid autopilot tries to run me into the sun...

"WARNING! Entering sun corona!"
"Oh ****! Disconnect the autopilot! Give me back mouse fli..."
KABOOM!!!
