when you finnish the SP quest you will be at liest lvl 18, to answer you other question, check the SPOILER forum. mainly the HACK-REP-LIST thread on the top of the forum. But hacking your rep in the middle of the missions is a wast of time and money. The reps change by defult at the beginning of every mission in SP. So in other words... wait untill you beat SP before you start getting to picky about the type of ship you want.

If I had a nickel for every time someone told me that my idea of building a giant robotic parrot out of melted down coins was a bad idea, I would have one kick a$$ giant robotic parrot.

so could i hack my rep for the hackers then buy the ship, and then when i get a new mission it will be reset to defaults?

In the Sp missions as you may have noticed that you switch sides often. So yes if the story calls for it when you start the next mission then they will be hostile. So it's best to stay away from bribeing intill it's done

Once you reach level 10 return to the magellen system and dock at the station in system. Whenwver you step out of the station. the bounty hunters will swarm looking to collect that big price on your noggin. Fry em all then return to the station to repair. Repeat this several times and people who hate Bountyhunters will begin to go to netural towards you. You might be even able to pick up jobs killing bounty hunters by other factions. Do this several times then head for Mcctaan. they will allow you to dock and get that fine one hump camel. This way you save the bribe money for the ship.

It's probably the OutCasts. They're allies of the Lane Hackers and you won't be able to dock with Mactan if they're hostile to you.
Once you hit level 10 you can start ignoring the calls to take story missions and do some exploring up in the northern border worlds. Stop at every freeport and eventually you'll find somebody to fix you up with the Outcasts. (also makes travel in the northern systems much easier) This will also raise your rep with the Hackers and lower it with police and military.
Once you're OK with the Hackers and the Outcasts you should be able to dock at Mactan and buy your ship.
That's a great ship. It got me through most of the single player game and went to most of the systems in the game. Hated when I had to trade down to a fighter.

If you want to make lots of cash while you're exploring, detour into Kusari space and pick up a Drone freighter. When you find a big money run the 175 cargo will really pay off.

Yes,Dromedary is great ship.Just finished SP but not with Dromedary(used anubis for that).I dont remember when i purchased big D but it was after leaving Bretonia in SP and i realised that i have gone almost neutral with Outcasts and Lane Hackers.I went to Magellan and dealed my Crusader to Dromedary. After that made big money with Gold, diamond and Cardamine trading.Once i even lurked outside Manhattan docking ring and almost all in Liberty system was hostile to me,trying to get in Manhattan with full cargo of Cardamine.Docking ring was of course hostile and i didn,t get in but i survived rather long time.Had to escape like hell when all Liberty navy and Police came with all they got. With that money earned with dromedary (about 500.000) i made to end of SP.

I actually made it all the way through SP with the Drom. Some would say it is too weak to go that far but think about it. Good manuverabitly, Fair shields and weapon load out will allow you to put on two different kinds of missles and some good level guns and turrets as she has a place for 8 total.

Also if you match up fire power with energy usage and speed/range you will hit most of the targets about 90% of the time without running out of power. I also recommend you buy the best mines you can fit her with and the best CM and Thrusters. I am not saying it is an easy thing but I really enjoyed the trading aspect more than the combat mode call me a greedy bastard! Before I reached lvl 7 I had over 200,000 in the bank and I was using a Bloodhound before I got the Drom as I knew she was going to cost a lot of cash.

My goal now is to do SP with a light fighter I may use the Hawk as the nanobot load out is good. I would love to have the Banshee from Hamburg system but that would be cheating.

Just some thoughts from the edge of space.

This is all well and good.

How do i get one in multiplay? Hackers are not very sociable...

The one proven way to get friendly with the Hackers, outcasts, and rougues at the same time, while making a sizable profit, is to lane hack in New York and kill transports. The Hackers should go neutral first, followed closely by the other two. Then you can go buy your ship.

Reaper: $200,000,000.
Rockets: $100,000
The look on that pilot's face when you launch a full pod of screamers up his tailpipe: priceless

The quickest way to improve your rep with the lane hakers is to destroy every single Ageira Technologies ship you see. You can uuse that to work up a profit while your rep is improving.

Cardamine rules!!

The quickest way of all is to use the rep adjusters outside Manhattan; IIRC you need to smash only one pod of a police depot to turn all the liberty criminals neutral.

Actually, I think his problem is not with the Hackers - he said he was neutral with them. The problem is that the Hackers are allied with the Outcasts, and so if you are within 5K of Mactan base and there are any Outcast ships around, then because the Hackers are allied with the Outcasts, they will turn hostile and fire on you. So the trick is to get to Mactan without any outcast ships around, then it will not be hostile and allow you to dock. You can kill all the outcast ships before heading to Mactan. If you enter Magellen system through the New York gate, you will have problems as most of the time the Outcasts will show up. However, if you enter through the Manchester gate, the outcasts usually don't show up and you can make it all the way to Mactan Base and it won't be hostile.
So just make sure there aren't any outcast ships within 5K of Mactan base and you'll be ok.
