Corsairs n Titans

I am desparatly trying to find a way to improve my standing with the Corsairs in order to buy a Titan. I have searched every station arround the Onicron and surrounding systems to try and bribe my way into their ranks, but to no avail. Does anyone know where I can bribe them, or if there is any other way to get them to like me (or at least go neutral).

Thanks,

Tom.

there is another post to this end. for a list of possible bribes look around in the forums. you can always just start shooting at their enemies on no particular mission, just fly at the guys that the corsairs dont like and kill them by the dozen. not only great fun but also get the corsairs to like you more. once you're within a block or two from total nuetral go to their base and do missions for them. oh and if they ask you to cough up your loot then swallow your pride and give it to them...

Yeah, you might be better off with an Eagle.

Hammerhead, eagle and sabre. I've used both of them. Hammerhead is cool and good handling, eagle is stronger but harder to handle. The most difficult one is the sabre. I can't think of titan, never tried but i'm sure its harder than sabre. Can titan's turret shoot front ? Sabre's does. So you have 7 weapons to shoot front

You can kill hessians for a quick raise up with corsairs. Do not stick around the friendly patrol routes and do not get formation with bounty hunters (or any other faction) to get aid killing hessians. It'll make your rep down with corsairs even if you kill hessians. When you stick with bounty hunters and kill, corsairs think you help bounty hunters out

Note : You don't stand a chance against more than 4 titans or sabre with hammerhead or eagle. Especially if they wait near of a jump hole and you come out from it right into them.

Hmmm.... When I started I killed over 400 kusari police for the Blood Dragons, and that seemed to make alot of criminal factions happy, but also I then started hunting the bounty hunters and now I'm hated by everything but All Criminals! And I'm proud of it, oh yeah, take out transports too, even if they have nothing, no criminals seem to like transport factions, And you people suck because you don't like titans, my titan would slaughter you.

"Ofcourse I'm sure, I had the periodic chart with me at the time.." -.-

Ah screw it, either of you play on a multiplayer server? I'll go ahead and make an account, give me some time and I'll fight you with a titan.

Blame it on different play style / tactical doctrine. Not that the Titan is ineffective, but I prefer NOT to get hit in the first place. I can do all those level 38 one-on-ten missions courtesy of the Cosairs and Outcast without using a single shield battery or nanobot in my Eagle, so there.

Proof positive that the Titan just isnt that great, is that an AI Titan patrol can't take on me in my Banshee. They RUN from it.

well they arent running from your banshee, theyre running from your lvl (plus those are just NPC pilots).

they way i see it is that all the VHF are equal, the eagle may have better turning than the titan, but the titan has more armor. the sabre may have that fancy front shooting turret, but i find it very easy to hit (too many wings and stuff). so with the right pilot and weapons, a sabre could take out a titan or eagle. a titan can take out a sabre or eagle. and an eagle can take out a titan or sabre.

i think of it as sort of an RPG type selection, the eagle is the agile archer (weakest armor, but very cunning). the titan is the strong barbarian (brute strength, yet big and clumsy). and the sabre is the magician (added attack, but can make a easy target when in trouble).

I was at lvl 27 or so when I that happened, you need to be 33 just to purchase a Titan AFAIK. And the second I got their shields down, they hit cruise . I need to start carrying cruise disruptors.

next time you see some titan patrols, look at their lvl, usually the veteran pilots are lvl 22-25, and the ace ones are 25-29. and the NPC pilots dont need to buy a ship, they just spawn with it, so they can be in any ship at any lvl. BTW its lvl 32 to buy a titan
