External Graphic Enhancements

Does anybody know how to turn on the game detail options not included in the menu? I guess someone posted how they did it under the "What systems are u guys running?" thread. I'd also like to do it, so if anyone knows please post it.

If you use nvidia chipset, you may want to download the latest detonater driver from nvidida website.

Antialiasing looks great...

i heard from techtv that windows xp as a refresh error that can't be patched at this time the best advice is to check the manufactors website for your videocard for refresh patch for you videocard. there are such patches offered by ATI AGP 4X 8X 8500 series and up the 9700 also has the same patch. try this it could work for you.

Someone should do a Freelancer Tweaking Guide!

I've only just installed the game, so haven't had much time to tinker about with the config file yet, but the file you're talking about sits in:-

C:\My Documents\My Games\Freelancer

and is called PerfOptions.ini (That's the default path and name in Windows98, at least). Here's the line in there that looks interesting:-

advanced_graphics = 0.00

This is set to zero, even though I have graphics performance options maxed. Try setting this value to 1.00 and see if the graphics look any nicer!

Anyone else experimented with changing this value?

Does it make any difference to in-game graphics?
