games AI

i was testing out the mod for the cheap battleship ( osiris ) and the station explosion mod.

i traveled to rochester base, and proceded to blow the heck out of the rougues, xenos and junkers, and rochester base.

what surprised me was, the bounty hunters formed a perimiter 3.5 k from me, and blasted and pirates that managed to escape from my guns. ( which wasnt many, but they where also coming from the colorado jump hole )

my question is this, was the AI programmed to do that, or did it figure out what i was doing and had the bounty hunters act accordingly?

and has anyone had a similar experience?

should be explainebel whit AI logics and the way ships appear and disaper at the edge of your sensor range.

Usually the incomming BH patrols get slaugterd by the criminals but because you killed al(most) the criminals they didnt got slaughterd any more and start killing the few criminals left and because theire has to be a certain amounts of ships in an area (RCB is quite busy) new ships come in but because you moved the balance of power to the BH the criminals die. and because the Crimis fly in from all around RCB it draws the BH to them and so the form a circel at the end.

Sorry got to much time on my hands

It's been my experience that groups that are friendly to you will assist provided the group attacking you is not a stated ally. Thus, getting attacked by Hogosha with Blood Dragons as allies will get you one or two Blood Dragons joining the fray against the Hogosha. However, exact opposite is true with attacking a group that your neutral with but they are friendly with your opponent. I've had GC's turn up, attack with neutral BD's in the background, after killing a few GC's, the BD's turned against me. It does make sense if you think about it. The enemy of my enemy is my ally. Heck, the Lane Hackers even said that during the SP mission when they come to your aid after fleeing Liberty.
