Where would I locate these "Nomad Blasters" you speak of? I have 6 level 10 weapons, 3 level 9 weapons, and a level 9 turret on my Anubis. The energy doesnt last too long but 1 shot takes out almost any ship.

I like the one and only BRICK, the RHINO... its mad if u know how to use it...managed to kill a titan with one of them...

but seriously.. i think the defender is coolest ship, and its a good ship too... has the firepower and the manuverbility.. even comes with a torp launcher... weak but hey.. i managed to finish the game with it

I'm a fan of the eagle, it provides a good mix of fire power mounts and armour along with exellent manoverability for its size, the power issue can be avoided by going to the unknown systems and fighting nomads until they drop either the blaster or the cannon, both of which are level 10 but feature different refire rates and damage potential, they do just over half the damage of some other level 10 weapons but use no energy and have higher refire rates.

Ok, I found the Nomad Blasters, and a few Nomad Cannons. Now I have 3 of each plus 3 FireKiss Mk3's and a FireKiss Mk3 Turret. Sunslayer torpedo launcher, ripper mine, and Advanced Countermeasure launcher. 5w337.

Deramonic, if you managed to kill a Titan while in a Rhino, I'd be thinking the Titan pilot was either a pretty crap pilot, AFK, or an NPC without much of a human's dodging ability.. Other than that, I actually prefer the Titan overall, two Nomad Cannons, two Wyrm Type 2's, and two Cannonball Missles, with a Sunslayer and Borocco turret, and these all seemed to have lasted me quite a long time without dying, mind you I haven't ever fought an NPC pilot in a Titan, I'm friendly with every criminal faction possible, and hated by everything else, on the exception of the Zoners and Junkers which I've managed to stay neutral with.

While I must acknowledge that the best ships are the VHF's for the most part, in my recent games at Elite I've been doing my best to play with low level ships only. Ive explored most all of the house systems and the Tau's and Sigma-13 and a couple of the Omega's in just a Dragon, with upgraded shields and weapons. I used the same ship, and defeated a human piloted Valkyrie in a duel (multiple times). Also using my dragon I arranged a duel with an Eagle pilot. I survived for a whole of one minute (Impressed the hell out of myself and the Eagle pilot too). As a result I have recently switched to a Banshee, and with it I feel I can fare fairly well against most anything in the game. As you can see I'm a firm believer in maneuverability and dogfighting skills over pure tank-like firepower and armor.
