Supported 3dFX

Is bump Mapping and Pixel shading used in Freelancer? I have an integrated Geforce4 MX which dose not support these FX.

FL supports some type of "shading" (environment mapping I think) but its an option you can turn off.

I think I see some bump mapping (AKA Relief Texture Mapping) used in the game. The panel joint lines on the ships' hulls do have a nice relief look to them and the best way to achieve that effect is bump mapping.

Environmental mapping is also used in the game yes.

I don't remember seeing anything that looks like per-pixel shading in the game though.

And if you have a GeForce 4 MX, I wouldn't worry. Just run all the details at max level if your machine can handle it. I'm using a very old GeForce 2 GTS card with all the details maxed and the visuals all look very nice.
