Good ol kilrathi.

Well, I remember the good ol' days of wing commander 6 (or was it 4? back in the annals of time... I just remember mark hamill and a monstrous 6 cd's).

Anyway, onto my question. I realise there's currently a project in the works to bring in all the WC ships into FL, but my question is are they releasing an sdk so that one can actually import ships into the FL universe without wiping over the existing fighters? I'm saying this because I remember the ships in WC fondly, especially the Kilrathi ones... it'd be great to be able to have these in FL alongside all the other fighters.

Thanks for any help,
TigZ

That was WC3, the last of the Kilrathi stories, unfortunately. BTW, does anyone else think that Trents' artifact is of obvious Kilrathi origin ?

Wing Commander is the GREATEST Sci Fi story/Game I believe I have ever played.
I love them and wish I could play them again but I have long since "lost" or "misplaced" all of them.

Oh well, a WC mod would be GREAT!
Absolutely great and I would back it in anyway that I could.

I recently built a P133 with an original SB AWE32 and an old Trident chip vid card, running dos 6.22. I then haunted E-bay and got ALL of the original WC dos games and a couple old joysticks. The graphics are of course dated, but the gameplay is still great. IMHO, Wing Commandeer is the daddy of all space sims, and still the best series.

Actually, I would say that Elite is the daddy of all space games, you could either be a trader, or a military, or a pirate... still waiting for Elite 4...

Though I loved Wing Commmander III, IV and Prophecy. It really pissed me of that Origin decided to not making more WC games after Prophecy.

yeah, wing commander 1 was one of the very first computer games ive played (ever tried doing that without knowing english and with a graphic card that somehow couldnt draw red in this game?? *LOL*)
how old was i then... ummm... about 8.

influenced my whole further live *LOL*

They made Wing Commander Secret Ops after Prophecy, though depending on who you talk to it was either a free addon or a free sequel. Either way the only place you can get it now (legally) is WC Prophecy Gold.
Was a fun game that I spent waaay to many hours making simulator missions/campaigns for...ah, those were the days!!

Yeah, I downloaded secret ops when it was released. It was OK, though it lacked the cool movie sequences the games had... I believe PC Gamer (Uk) also had it on one of their cover discs, if I remember right...

Yeah! Gotta love my fav wingman Maniac. : )

Post Sat Apr 19, 2003 6:17 pm

Cobra > Maniac.
I only had WC3 *Sniff* still got it but my PCS are too advanced for it and the story owned so much... except for that stinking Behemoth that needed like half an hour - 4 hours shooting.

You know, I've played ELITE first time om my CBM64 (before the PC age). Its was all on one 5.25 inch floppy disk.
The graphics were wire frames, sound minimal (really liked the Walz when docking => 2001 a space odessy) the joystick worked with switches, the enemie ships started as dots om my TV screen. I played it for years. But OK this was almost 20 years ago.

Anyone ever tried Freespace... a nice Wingcommander clone. With mission editor.
