So nobody knows how to take pictures without HUD blocking everything?

I haven't found a way to make the hud go away entirely, but it is possible to reduce how much of the screen it's munging. First is to set the nav bar to autohide (somewhere in the game options). Next is to minimize the left and right HUD boxes (BACKSPACE by default). Then turn off mouseflight (gets rid of that gay message telling you how to turn off mouseflight), move your reticle off to a corner or something, and take your screenshot (Print Screen).

Once you open the resulting screenshot in an image editing program you can trim off the very top and bottom and have a letterbox-like shot of the game without any HUD in it.
