Joystick Capadible?

Is this the right forum to talk about Freelancer using a joystick? If so here is my question... if you play Freelancer is it possible to use a Microsoft Sidewinder Pro 2? I already know it CAN'T use a Joystick but is it possible to make a MOD to use a joystick? I've accually tried it BUT it wouldn't detect my Joystick but i could confugure it.

It may be possible to do, but talking about Joystick usage in this forum is kind of a no-no since it came up before and every topic posting turned into a huge flame war between the people posting...

There's a topic at the top of this forum that should explain thigns a little better concerning them...but try not to talk joysticks in this forum...

If you really must , you can simulate the mouse with a joystick
joytomouse2 , a popular program for those sorta needs , not to sure on performance though.
