Ok, here's a sad confession for me: as much as I love it, I'm gonna postpone buying FL. I can afford the game, but I can't afford a machine that is capable of doing it justice. My current system is Celeron 600 with 128mb of ram (regular, not DDR) with an integrated 16mb video card. I tried the demo on it, and it was pathetic . The upgrade is not so expensive, around 500-600 euro, but my study demanded that I put more time and money into it, meaning sacrificing FL or a new computer. I'm currently designing an online magazine for a school project, and I have to fund it from my own pocket, and I have to spend more on lecture books.

I'm quite content with my current machine, it's good enough for typing papers, storing porns (at least I'm honest about it), listening to music and playing rental dvds; and thus there is no real emergency in upgrading.

I feel for ya FF, but you´ll get Freelancer someday when you have a new rig and it will still be magical Besides, then you can get Freelancer together with all the mods created for the game or even Freelancer + expansion (if it is ever going to be created) bundled as ´Freelancer Gold Edition´ or something like that...

Anyway, don´t feel too bad about it, you have to set your priorities straight. Luckely I bought a new rig last year ( P4, 1.7 Ghz, Nvidia Geforce 3 ti 200 64 MB ) and therefore I will buy Freelancer this week, but if I, like you, had to buy a new rig before buying Freelancer, I wouldn´t do it at this moment. My wife and I are expecting a child and I have a lot of expenses for my child´s room and stuff and I´m also buying a new car this week, so my priorities are somewhat different than buying Freelancer.

by the way I don't know for you but some (at this date) already have FL when it says 25th of april here in Anna Paulowna they don't have it
