its a happens some times
it goes away after u go through jump or dock or restart the game
it happned to me at lvl 32
i think its a bug or something

I've seen it myself a few times after finishing the story. It should go away after a jump or dock somewhere.

it means that you have to take a mission from a bar i guess. when it hapened to me i did that and as soon as that dude tells mission complete, i level up. try this, although i don't know how you can manage to complete mission if you are flying a freighter.

just keep the money rolling into your pocket. nothing will stop you from getting the ultimate level.. well, thats what i did. at lvl 26, the same thing happened, and soem other levels as well, but i kept going to trade.

That happened to me at level 36, and there was nothing I could do to get it back. I tried everything. Then I started an MP character, cuz that's more fun anyway

So after you finish the missions, there is nothing else to do but lvl up and the such... after you reach level 38.. there is no more missions?

After you finish the SP story, you become a freelancer and can do whatever you want...take random missions at bases, trade, explore, etc. But after you finish the storyline, there are no more storyline missions. That's why it's *finished*. At level 38 you can keep playing and explore or whatever. You just can't gain levels.

this happened to me, forget which level, somewhere in early 30's. I was checking a Faction rating and i saw "Next Level: Mission" and i was all, huh?

but then i was jumped by some Red Hessians and had to tango... 'n when i went back to check it, it just gave me the $ amt. i needed. I think it's a bug also.

I think it happens when you drop below the previous money requirement.
i.e. You are level 23 and your requirement is $200K. You level up but you buy a new ship (lowering your cash below 200K). Now you should see MISSION REQUIRED until you earn 200K again.

i had a major bug occur, when i was doing mission i saw the Next level: Mission and was like oh nifty, i finished the mission and it somehow (no idea) jumped me back to mission #8 and started the story line again from there... If this has happened to anyone else please say...

I don't think that's it, WakeUp, at least it wasn't in my case. It happened to me at level 36, and I didn't lose any money when it happened, I was just in the middle of trade runs. I just kept going and made like another million credits or so, and it still said mission required. So there is some kind of bug in there, but it seems to manifest itself differently. Sometimes it goes away right away, sometimes it just stays stuck...
