Solution to the size problems

As most people know there are alot of debates going on about the size issue (i.e. distances, cargo room, ect.) I found the solution!!! In the game the people are HUGE, like 200 ft tall!!! think about it. they never say thay are human. they use the word "mankind" but thats subjective. even if that are humans we could of evolved into giants. we just don't have any refrence points so they look the same size as us. Think of it that way and all the size issues make sence.

make sense?? not even a little. i really don't think it's necessary to bother worrying about it. it's a game, enjoy it as such.

are you implying that i'm reaching?

Yeah, each planet is as big as a football field to the giants.

Or just a football... LOL
Why is everybody so obsessed with size? So what if the planets look no bigger than your balls? It's a bloody game, get over it.

p.s. I apologize to anybody who is offended by the above statements.

Blame Bills 3D engine for that one...

...or maybe they have the technology to resolve this. did anyone here see this episode in 'enterprise' where they salvaged a small ship from their future and found a hidden storage space that is larger than the ship itself?

well all of the manhatten planet has 220 million people...thats less then america one one planet...and manhatten is one giant city..so maybe the planets are really very small.

Then the sheep said...

It isn't size that matters... it is what you do with it. And Freelancer is doing very well.

I would rather have an unrealisticly small environment done well, than a large one not done as well.

Reality check . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Scanning . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
Nope, it's a game alright !
No reality issues involved.

If there WERE reality issues then the biggest ones should be:
- Stars are smaller than planets
- Planets are not in orbit, so why don't they just fall into the stars

Jeez, IT'S A GAME, not a lesson in physics.

Or perhaps they installed some sort of AG field around the cities. Hence they found most planets habitable and all of them only have one city each. They're all giant habitats. This *could* solve the problem of having so many earth like planets in each system, and also the small sizes of the planets.

As for the lack of gravity... Well maybe they put those AG generators in space too...
