"Testing" Does that mean you played the game for 50 hours without paying for it? If so... go complaining in a warez forum.

ummm no we paid fo the crap. imported it even

Post Wed Apr 02, 2003 10:22 pm

Hm, ok. But how can you say it's crap? If it's crap why did you play it for so long in the first place? I don't know about you, but crappy games don't even last 5 minutes on my computer. And demo versions are totally sufficient to find out if it's crap or not.

Man, if I get 50 hours out of a game that's a huge success in my book. I've played some great games a lot less time than that. For example, Jedi Knight 2 was a fantastic game but it didn't take me any where near 50 hours.

I personally love this game and already have 50 hours into with no plan to stop soon. This is a rare gem that I'll probably put 100 or more hours into.

Oon-tee-dee!

hehe Metze you are right this game has big potential but is a bit cheap not very big univers and the traid rutes are very static (to easy to make money, and when you have them what should it be used to)

and a little remark on that 50 hours is mutch if thats true what should i play next weekend ????????

How do you define "unfinished"?

The game not allowing you to blow up bases? Wow, what fun it would be if there was nothing to land on in the entire game.

Take it easy folks, people are entitled to their opinions here regardless if you believe they are full of donkey doo or not.

But if someone were tell me they played a game for approximately 50 hours and still think it was a waste of money...it does make me wonder what it would take to put a piece of software over the top for them to say they got their money's worth. 75 hours? 100 hours? 200 hours?

In my opinion if you play a game for more than 2 hours it shows you at least have some interest in the game. If you play for more than 10 hours and still think it's a piece of donkey doo then to me you've wasted 8 hours of your life you can never get back. But it was still your choice.

Maybe the 50 hours wasent a waste of time, Maybe its just a little disapointment that there wasent more to find

if being disappointed there wasn't more to find is the litmus test, every signle game ever created would be a disappointment. Name one game that people have raved about it being just enough...any more content would have ruined everything.

Well it's too bad you were disappointed in the game 50 hours huh saw and did everything? Wow you guys are good! So could you tell me how many Bases did you visit? How many jump holes did you find? how many rumors did you hear? How many wrecks did you pilfer or even find? Did you find all the secrets? Did you see all their was to see in the different universes? How many factions did you alternately make freindly just so you could get their good technology then turn around and kick their butts just so you could get in good with the next one and do the same thing? I assume we are all talking about the same game I own? It is the one that has immersive game play and open ended opportunities for you to use your imagination about how best to achieve your goals. It sounds to me like you set and met the goals you were looking for, so for that congtatulations! Maybe as an experiment you should revisist this game with a different goal and see if it takes you in a different direction. I personally have put in almost 100 hours. However, I admit I am in no hurry as space is large and if it took 800 years from Starlancer to here I don't think 100 hours seems like a lot to try and see everything and I am still not done yet as I still need to make nice with about 4 more factions so I can visit their bases and hear their stories. So there you have it two different slants on the same great game isn't it grand when a game gives everyone a different experience! That is what gaming is all about! Just some thoughts from the edge of space.
