Psychobabble

Music that my father listened to when he was a kid, depeche mode i believe the band was called.. "I just can`t get enough", was playing from the speakers of the new audioset that i just bought for my anubis. The Sony2000 was supposed to be the #1 in audio these days. And i believed them, so i bought it.. it has a nice sound i admit, it fills the cabin of my trusty anubis very well..

An awesome feeling comes over me when i go into cruise mode and just zooooomm past a bright neutron star that looks about ready to implode..
the immense darkness under me and a zillion bright stars appearing like little dots in a far away universe yet flash alongside me like white lines that remind me of old highways that my grandfather once told me about.. yep, life is great sometimes.

I know this galaxy i think.. i`ve been here before haven`t i? I ask my boardcomputer and the friendly sexy female voice of Anubi, so i like to call her, confirms my thoughts.
"The bounty hunters have a base here" she says.
Ah the bounty`s.. what a history we have together.. there were times of friendship were all was good, and times of immense hate!
Oh well, it`s the way things have to go sometimes i guess.
We need to go on. Progress. Investigate. Search. Roam around inbetween worlds and find new worlds, new civilizations.
Don`t we all just like to boldly go where no man has gone before..*sigh*
Life is great.

A strict voice coming from the bounty base that dooms up infront of me tells me to dock at gate 2.
I obey. ofcourse. wouldn`t want to get into a fight now, heck i`m tired!
I could use a long warm hydrobath by now.. my mouth got dry from seeing all this stardust pass alongside me.
The damn stuff is everywhere! That dirty everyday job of cleaning the air inlets of the engines becomes boring after a while..
Oh well, all part of being a traveller i guess.

Hhmm nice bar those bounty`s have here.. wow, nice women too..
A blonde looks at me.
"Would you like a drink?" i ask her, and she smiles at me.
"Don`t I know you from somewhere?" she asks..
Yeah, i say, we`ve met at Freeport9 once, it was in August i believe.
A twinkle lights up in her eyes, telling me that she probably remembers.
"You know" she says, "we don`t really own this place, but we have an understanding with the people that do.."
Hah, as if she thinks that i care! Haven`t i heard that line enough already.
So i tell her it`s allright, and propose her that she shows me an intimate place that is infact hers..
She smiles again.
Hmm.. this could turn into a nice end of the day afterall..

Hey, I think I know who you're talking about!

She just wanted me to kill some Corsairs, though.

Wait a minute, why does a space ship have air intakes for the engine?

Post Tue Apr 01, 2003 7:35 am

Perhaps those intakes really have no function at all, but they are there just for the looks ? You know, part of the design and all.....

LOL! good question.
I guess for flying in the atmoshphere of planets. docking etc is what you see, but it actually needs flying to the base on the ground and back again.. i dunno.. hehe
with all that heavy pollution going on in the future, the engines can get pretty overheated who knows
