Anubis or Barracuda

Since you can get either of these ships at around the same time... I was faced with the choice between getting the Anubis or keeping my Barracuda. Pros for getting the Anubis? I'd earn 49 grand, and it has better weapons support, 300 more armor, and an extra slot for a turret.

But I tested them both out and found that the Barracuda fared much better in battle because it could turn and maneuver so much more easily than the Anubis (especially against those pesky Nomad interceptors). But the general sentiment here, from what I'm gathering, seems to favor the Anubis (maybe just because it's a ship that you can't get in MP?).

What do you think?

I haven't tested them side by side, but I had the same decision to make that you do. I think that the weapon support is important, but even more: can you use a heavier shield on the Anubis? Carry more batteries? IMHO, that is the key to the last missions of SP, 'cuz frankly you'll be getting shot at too much to be able to avoid it any better in the cuda anyway. I used the Anubis, and I beat every mission in SP on my first try, so it must not have been a handicap

I found the anubis to be the better ship. The armor's quite a bit higher, and it does make a difference. And it's the best bang-for-your-buck of any ship in the game with that droolable 1100 price tag.

dude that no contest the anubis ownz da barracuda

i had a barracuda till i could get an anubis and the difference was amazing
2 more weps + a turret
larger shields and armor
and it goes on and on and on

most deff get the anubis
