Freelancer movie..

Wouldn't it be great to be a movie "Freelancer"? Um.. yeah ok it needs the storyline... they could make it a little bigger . I'vre heard something about a movie Starlancer but never seen it get in production. mmm. like star wars but better , "Starlancer". Starlancer 1 , then Starlancer 2: Freelancer then Starlancer 3 and goes on... that would be a really good movie!

This is along the lines of "what if all this money was real" when playing monopoly. But to get a movie like this made they would have to seriously convince the movie producers that the Freelancer movie would not turn into the mess that the Wing COmmander movie turned into. I apologise ahead of time if anyone actually paid money to see that.

The video store shelves are full of movies that tried to base off of some sort of game, Robot Wars, Robot Jocks. Pray it does not come out like Space Truckers. AArrrggggg!

I love B sci-fi movies, I also hold them to a B standard. Now when I come across an A-A+ computer game, and Hollywood gets their hands on it. I expect an A-A+ movie, and so far I have been left wanting.

Now that said, on the positive side, they have been doing a good job with the super hero movies so far. If they could make a movie based off of Freelancer/Privateer/Starlancer/Elite and do it well, I would very much like to see that. I would sing praises to them and put these mysterious movie makers on my christmas list.

I saw the Wing Commander movie on cable a while after it was released.

After hearing how bad it was, I expected to see the worst movie in history. After it was over, all I could say was "I've seen worse!" If it would have had a bigger budget behind it, I bet it would have been much better...

It had its moments, and it had some pretty cool special effects, but the ending of it seemed like it was wrapped up really quick at the last minute. I'd give it a 6/10... Chris Roberts should have stuck to making games.

And I wish he'd have stuck with Freelancer all the way through its making, I bet it would have turned out even better.

Yes... we shan't forget the lesson taught by Wing Commander: The movie.
