What were those Rogues THINKING?

Okay, so I'm cruising along a trade lane in California when I get the all-familiar "Trade lane disrupted" message. It's a bunch of Liberty Rogues, but they don't attack me because I'm neutral to them. I hail one, and I'm told that they are on their way to Alcatraz. Since I've never been there, I decide to follow them back to base.

After a few minutes, I hear one of those guys say, "I'll give you one chance -- drop the cargo!" (or something). I didn't get the expected dialog box, so I knew they were talking to someone else, but looking at my scanner, I didn't find any other ships nearby.

Hearing no response, the Rogues start attacking...a trade lane. That's right, folks -- those Cardamine-crazed loonies ordered a TRADE LANE to drop its cargo, and when it did not respond, they decided to blast away.

The moral: Just Say No to Cardamine.

They must have been hallucinating....
can't really blame them....
Maybe it's some pirate code of conduct....they have to subscribe to the universal fashion trend to fly crappy ships in Liberty Space, after all

Well, if there's no one else around, they'll attack the trade lane because those are aligned with the Good Guys.

I haven't ever heard them order a trade lane to drop its cargo. It probably didn't work too good

HAHAHAHA! Now you know how the trade lane got disrupted in the first place LOL!

Post Thu Mar 27, 2003 2:13 pm

i really dont know but i think if you attack the trade lane, it will disrupt and all the carriers in the trade lane come out on this part of the tradelane where it was attacked...

You will notice a (i believe is a blue) bar underneath a tradelane when you target it. This is the tradelane health bar, Mr. Pirate, aka. my alter ego routinly disrupts tradelanes to catch them juicy freighters in midlane and away from any law enforcement.

I haven't tried my hand at being a bad guy yet.
Here is a question.
If you attack a ship with no police around.
Does that hurt your rep with the police ?
or just the ones you attack ?
