FreeLancer Music

There is the one track that I like but I don't know if I can find it. Is there anywhere else tht I can go to Download music or if it is, where can I find it in my files that were installed in with the game ?

www.fileplanet.com might have some music files on it but I haven't checked so I don't know.

As far as getting it off your computer I think most of the music are .wav files so you should be able to play it but unless you know the file name you will have to go through all of them. ...freelancer\data\audio\music

Yeah Slip's right. Just check out the audio files. My all time favorite is the music of Bretonia space. Dark and foreboding. Love it.

Some music isnt in the audio directory...or doenst seem to be. Like that nice and "cheery" song when Trent walks out onto the tarmat (sp) with all the ships and he meets Lonnigan for the first time after he recovers.

I did figure this one out. Most of the music (assuming the default install) is in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\AUDIO\MUSIC directory. BUT...for the music in scenes that you say isn't there (the walking out scene), that's because they must record the music and the voices together for that. It can be found in the C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Freelancer\DATA\AUDIO\MIXES folder instead! Careful in there though - all the major cutscenes seem to be done that way, so if you haven't played the game and pic the wrong one you could hear something you didn't want to.

BTW, the tarmat music you meant is in the file mix_s010x.wav in that directory (along with dialogue).

That one is in the "mixes" directory EB, but I believe it has all the cutscene dialogue in it too.

I love the liberty space music, reminds me of the main Dune theme

Bretonia's music is pretty damn good as well.
