Wealthiest Freelancer? Post your bank roll shot!

Post shots of your bankroll to show whom is the wealthiest freelancer in Sirius. No editing of the screenshots is allowed whatsoever.

I dunno. Money is just too easy to come by to be making much fuss about it. I have to acknowledge that you have an ungodly sum of money saved up, but I can't fathom why. My most advanced character has about three million saved up. Most of that is ear-marked to fund the purchase of a couple VHF's for friends. Anytime I need more money, I just run a trade route a time or two and I'm back to a comfortable level. I may or may not switch to a freighter for the job.

I'd like to see a legitimate screenshot of someone in the original ship (forget what it is called), with the original weapons, parked on the furthest base from Liberty.

That would be a worthy screenshot.

Any other ideas?

I don't think that would be all that hard. I've flown a Cavalier light fighter as far as Omicron...Gamma? Maybe Theta. With the maneuverability of light fighters, it isn't all that hard to avoid combat. The biggest threat is probably Radiation Zones, and damage from those can be minimized by keeping your distance from the source.

i'm making those trips in a clysdale, not that hard when your neutral whit almost every one.

Ok, how about a screenshot of player information showing that you are hostile with EVERYONE!! Then two screenshots, one from each end of the known universe showing that you have traveled through most star systems and survived, despite the fact that everyone wants to kill you...

There is a very good chance I have no idea what I am talking about since I still haven't made it out of the Liberty system.

It is impossibel to even get hostile whit every one as the jumpgates are hostile to and as far as I know I need at least some of them to get the the other end of sirus.
I could do it on the way, but then it wouldnt be a challenge as it is the same as beeing neutral whit every one.

/edit

btw im neutral on a mp game (not in a self hosted one) im not gonna screw that up.

Hey, there's a good idea for a contest here.

Administators!! You should host a "Screenshot Scavenger Hunt". Provide a list of "images" that must be captured by players, with different images worth different points. Put a time limit on the contest, you know, all that contest rule stuff and then let the players run amok in the FL universe trying to get that elusive screen shot of various things, for example:

- shots of hidden derelict ships or flights (10 points each)
- screenshots of other NPC ships whose pilot's first and last name have the same initial (15 points ecah)
- screenshot of player in formation with the biggest NPC convoy they can find (5 points per ship in the convoy)
- screenshot of player surrounded by the most scrap metal floating in space (ie, sit in a debris field shooting until you are surround by white boxes of scrap metal) (0.5 points per object)

There must be dozens, if not hundreds of other creative ideas for screenshot scavenger items. Especially since I have only been as far as New London. Anyone else think this is a good idea, or am I merely too obsessed with this game?

Just one question.

WHY?! Were you bored out of your mind or what? While youre at it, why not go for a billion? It would be a lot more fun, dont you think?

Yet another example why the economy of this game is totally out of whack. As are ships prices/leveling/equipment etc....aaaanyway.

you can cheat on that one, just get a cargo hold full of scrap and trow it out your ship.

Caelistis now how about showing a shot of how much money u have without cheating, and before u say"im not cheating"show us a unedited screenshot of how many hours ,missions u have completed,i know freighter runs dont count on missions but hours played will.

Kill em all-Let GOD sort em out !

You can't cheat on the scrap metal one, since when you jettison cargo, it appears as one block with (#) of units in it.

There are only 10 kinds of people in the world:
those who understand binary, and those who don't.

Xaanix:

Why? A couple of reasons:

1. Because I have WAY too much free time at work and I STILL get paid to really do nothing but play Freelancer.

2. To prove a point, really. Since that initital screen shot, I have amassed nearly 700 MILLION credits. I would like to see if I can get in to the billions range. At that point, technically, I would be far wealthier than any of the rogue, pirate and dissenting factions. If I, as a freelancer, can make that much money, why can't I buy something worthwhile? Seriously, if the game's economy is going to allow me to make that much money...make it worthwhile to DO so.

*********************

Liquidsteel:

As I stated to Xaanix in my first point, I have a LOT of time to play this game at work, nearly 10 hours a day to pass the time. I SP and MP a lot with my coworkers. As soon as I can get the screenshot posted to my webserver, I'll be more than happy to show the number of hours played. Kills and missions don't particularly mean a lot as the money was garnered from pure trading, which do not count as "missions".

edit:
though, I did not make shots from factíon status, lets just say, it was for us both about a 20 minutes trip from manhatten to freeport 9 in the start ship, with the start money, etc, direkt without docking from han, I docked once in frankfurt ... needed to buy from the start money a few bots ... that at the end I still had enough saved, but I thought I would get more trouble in sigma-13 and 17 ...

hmmm, if someone want to top this, I guess a trip to unknown would be needed
btw been in gamma and alpha aswell, after I reached theta.

ah btw

no you don´t need jumpates to get anywhere. there are everywhere jumpholes.
and it does not matter anyway, cause a hostile jumpgate will still let you dock.
but I really think, its impossible to get hostile with everyone, each time you kill something, you get a better rep with those thta do not like what you killed.
so screwing your rep up that badly that really everything hates you sounds for me abit impossible ... did not tried myself, but I guess at least one faction hast o be good with you.
