well i bought a cavalier now, after the liberty navy was all up in my grill and ****.

I´ve got a Defender ,too. But how do you put 5 guns on it?
i have got 3 lavablade MK III guns , and 2 javaline missile launchers or what ever.
also 6 thruster (wtf...?) and 2 advanced shield bla blblub...
i´m in the mission where i have to fight next to manhatten planet (with the cops).

if you´re stuck in mission 6, i know your problem?!
might the 3 rheinland ships not get enemys and stay neutral?
haha, you have to fly against them until they explode.

I found having the right ship isn't HUGELY important in the game until some of the later giant fights. I played the the majority of the game in a decked out Clydesdale Freighter; once you've got some awesome guns on one of those, they own. I only upgraded when I had the chance to buy a Bounty Hunter heavy fighter, and once I got that fights were WAY too easy, didn't even have to try all that hard.

I upgraded to a "Cavalier" and i think its great for level 6-9 .
and i bought 4 new weapons, adv.sky___ (don´t know what its called)
this ship rulez !
i´m level 9 now and have to meet juni in space above canbridge.
can anyone tell me when i get this really ass-kickin-killer-ships ?

Your first real opportunity for a killer ship is when you get into Kusari space. You can get a Bounty Hunter Barracuda or a Naval Forces Dragon there. After that, you'll get the option to purchase an Anubis later in the storyline. That's it for the SP portion of the game, after that you'll have to explore a bit to get the best ships.

what do you think how long it maybe take to get to the kusari system?

Yeah, isn't that Dragon silly? I got the 'cuda, myself. Great ship. I loved it. My path was Starflier-->Defender-->Crusader-->Cuda-->Anubis-->Sabre w/some various freighters thrown in there to make some cash.

My 1:

Starflier-->Defender-->Cavalier-->Baracuda

Starflier-Defender-Crusader-Dromedary-Drake-Anubis

The Drake is lots of fun. It turns faster than anything else in the game; only the Starflier comes close. As long as you keep moving, nobody can touch you.

and the anubis didn´t cost anything...is that a bug or why did i get it for nothing?

Because it's a storyline ship. They can't really charge you for it!

That'd be like Luke getting his first X-Wing, only to be pulled aside to see if he can get a loan to help pay for it. "Sorry boys, the attack will have to wait. My ship's still on layaway."
