This has got to be the most asked question. Factions really aren't that complicated. Target someone and hit the Info button. That will tell you who their friends are and who their enemies are. Kill their enemies and they will be happier with you. Outcasts are criminals. Killing police and military will help.

I kill Corsairs and it doesnt help!!! But friendship with them isn't the main idea. I just want Sabre!

Bribe someone in a bar, usually theres someone in any of the Freeport bases(FP1 where I've had most sucess) that will do a Rep hack. Just keep docking until you get what you want, but at a 150k charge

It depends how far gone you are, killing a factions enemies is an extremely slow process. Just find someone to bribe, 150K isn't that hard to make back, especially when you get to the outcast held areas.

I just killed an assortment of about 10-15 Kusari based ships (shipping, police, etc) and it made me just "Neutral" enough, 1-2 squares away from "Hostile", with the Outcasts so they wouldn't attack me. Was able to get the Sabre easily from Omicron Alpha afterwards, just couldn't buy their specific weapons since I wasn't "Friendly" with them. Really not that hard.
