Is it wrong?
Morning all, and now its time for Uncle Beckets Bi-weekly question/rant.
I must be a very morbid individual. I must be the rubber necker in traffic trying to see what all the flashing lights are. Morbid Curiosity and myself go hand in hand I suppose. Perhaps its a reflection of living in a TV world where everything is viewed through the camera lens...perhaps its because I never got a pony when I was young. I seem drawn to the locked threads like a moth to the Flame(flame heheh nice double entendre). I look every time...heck when I dont get on the site over the weekend every Monday I look to see what foolishness got locked up. Wrong? Possibly. Educational? Not bloody likely. Humerous? Almost Definitely.
The rules to the locked posts are fairly simple. Damn they all start off like a cut and paste.
Rule 1. Start off with a title such as "This Sucks, This is it?, or How they could have improved X". Now like the typical writer you need this to be catchy something that will draw people to it.
Rule 2. Start off with when you had purchased the game and explain that you have gone straight through. Explain that you have made no attempts at exploration and that the SP game was way to short. Be sure to note that you refuse to play multiplayer or explore...do this if you realllllly want to draw attention.
Rule 3. Explain how 15 other games including ones done in Basic and ASCII were "So Much Better, openended, fun, had better graphics etc"
RUle 4. Be sure to point out the horde of up coming releases that are going to "Blow Freelancer Away" Though they have not even gotten a publisher yet.
Rule 5. Explain that you have been a Beta Tester, Developer, Programmer, User, Player, or owner for the last 5,10,15 years. Be sure to note that this entitles you to receiving superior products.
Rule 6. and this is completly optional...but well worth it. Be sure to say that you have a warez copy. This gets everyones attention. You can rest assured that your purloining of the copy that you have will make you everyones friend. Be sure to say it loud and proud.
Now that these have been posted I would like to say to all the trolls out there waiting to come in...I have done this for you. PLease feel free to copy and paste sections of my rules as time savers.
