trial version savegames

I have finished the trial version. When I bought Freelancer, I have copyed my savegame from the trial version into the commercial game savegame folders... It seems to work fine and I managed to play with my ship from the demo version.
But, it seems that I cannot upgrade my level. I always have a level 1 even if I have the money required (around 26000 credits)... Do you know how I could fix that ? or if it's possible...'cause it's quite anoying to start all over again the beginning when you played the trial version... Thanks to reply me !!!

i had the same problem. i didnt find any solution but to restart

It only takes a like 30 min to restart anyways! What's the big deal?

No, you cant fix it cuz the saved games for the demo were never meant to work with the retail, sorry.

Ok, I get it.
So, since yesterday I started all over again the first missions. it takes me 15 mn to recover my level. I thought that would be difficult, but it's still a pleasure to play this game again.
