In the Italian system, bartenders would be quite fat and wear big chefs hats and talk with an Italian accent while asking if you want more pasta:

Nice one WP...Another group might have been a nice touch, but unfortunately the coalition, etc members were all decided back in the days of starlancer! That would definately bring an added element to the game though! Maybe in a future Mod that can happen

Actually...the idea of an Italian system has some merit.

Have a resort world, or Luxury Liner called Venice...

The anti-Gov't faction called "The Family" with the leader only known as "The Don"

Would have to dump the stereo-type bartender guy (Don't want to offend some people...I personally like it...but some people wouldn't...Like the complainers that having the German's as the bad guys)

Even the Family idea may tick some people of....But as they say...You can't please all the people all the time...

But then you would have to explain where another sleeper ship came from...The only sleeper they mention as being lost is the Hispania.

Maybe Earth sent out another couple of sleepers after the first ones...

There was a Canadian ship, but at the last minute they decided not to support any of the other nations and remained behind...

I think that there are only US, UK ,asian, and german systems coz those were the four members of the alliance side in 'Starlancer' fighting the russians, can'y remember what the russian side was called though and it may have been Japanese rather than all of asia, been ages since I played it though
