Targeting system

how is the targeting system used

Post Sun Mar 16, 2003 1:47 pm

"r" highlights the nearest enemy target. That's pretty much all I use

"t" will let you toggle between targets. you can also just select them by clicking the entry on the bottom left panel.

Once a unit it target, it gets a bigger bracket drawn around it, and little blue and red bars showing shield and hull health. you can also switch to the detailed view for ships and get a spiffy 3d wireframe, but I've hardly ever used this.

Also, I usually switch the bottom left panel so it shows all ships in the area. That seems most useful.

I believe you can also press Shift-R to select between different enemies... (I ain't tested it though)

All the commands are listed in the options area (under Controls I think)
Thats where I found the "Engine-Kill" command... its pretty odd going backwards at 70-199 etc.... good for shooting them if they follow you though
