Version 3.4 Up and Running!

Hello all Firebalance Cult Members!

First off, I would like to say congratulations and a huge Thank You to Michael Dan for putting this mod together.

Second, I would like you all to know that I have been running v3.4 for 2 days now and it is GREAT! It is still in Beta, but almost all the 3.3 bugs are gone (Squish). EA system is stable - You can buy, fight or do whatever you like in the system now. The addition to allowing admins to limit the activity in EA and Outerworld really makes life easier for both admins and players. In the last 48 hours, the server crashed only once.

There are new ships, new systems, new explosions and even some new bases. Every ship has it's own unique 'personality' (1 even 'wiggles' at ya). The new freighters are AWESOME! The Tie ships and cockpits look great (if you are a Tie fan, you have to check out the Phanton Tie). There is more than enough change in 3.4 to re-explore the entire Fireblalance once again.

And for all of you that thought NPC fighting in 3.3 was too hard, well it gets even more interesting in 3.4 with the new weapon configurations some NPC's have - Since when did ANY Corsair fighter ever carry a Tizona del Cid then follow it up with a Lancer missle? Stay on your toes fighting the NPC's now...they may suprise ya!

By default, new players on 3.4 start with $9000 on Jupiter in EA...Mine has been changed to $150,000 and a start on Manhattan in NY. Other than that, my server is set to 'Low' encounters in EA and Outerworld systems at this time - Difficulty is set to 'Normal'.

As I stated, there are a few minor issues still left to address, but overall the stability of the mod is EXCELLENT! Another final version will be out soon, but just wanted you all to know the good news about v3.4.

Thanks also to the players that helped me test out 3.4 so far...UOW Ghost, UOW Stryka, Inuyasha and Scooter (Germany). Thanks guys!

ran into a hilarious problem with a player flying the Mauler. He had several weapons slots that werent filled and when he took off from the Robot planet he had several rocks/scenery attached to him.
He couldnt get rid off them and they remained attached to his ship through gates, trade lanes and docking at stations.
Any suggestions?

kevinsky, I do not mean to insult your intelligence or that of your friend, but were they perhaps Nomad Turrets?
I know I have purchased Nomad turrets on those planets with fast velocities, log range, & decent damage, thinking the whole time, "I can't wait to try this!"
But when I get to space, I find that it's a Nomad CAPSHIP turret that's a drab rock/stone color, twice as big as my fighter :p
Is this maybe what happened and you took them as rocks?
~If they were really rocks, I don't know :/
