I don't blame cardinmine for making a TNG crack, actually i'm kind of thankful for it. It has gotten a load of lamers off my back.

Also considering the number of other mods that include their own cracks nowdays I don't think it really matters anymore.

Hah! That would be a first. Yea I have 6 dedicated mirrors with unlimited bandwidth from all over the world. Besides that though I also host websites(not free). I offered to help them find a better hosting deal than they have now but they didn't even bother to acknowledge my offer so you can guess I'm not terribly inclined to help them now.

I understand that Louva - i got a torte reply when i informed him about my $7 a month for 60gig bandwidth, 2 gig storage. Reynen informed me this would be a step down, but at least for $7 the forums and other things could be hosted away from the main mod download area, and therfore NOT have problems with site going down, and can terminate the link as soon as bandwidth is near being used up to conserve funding

Sounds like a bargin plan to me though - but of course sense and reason cannot compete with stubborness

Oh and the 100gig a month, 10 gig storage is around $20 a month incase Reynen reads this and wants to know. You could have two sites for 27 dollars a month. ONe as the main site which won't run out of bandwidth ever, and the other for the main download. Monitoring of this would stop over use of bandwidth on yoru site forever, and also cut your VAST costs in half.


By the way, a 500gig dedicated server starts at approx $150 - but I gave Reynen emails and other contact details to make his own enquiries to the sales team

He has info, offers, and suggestions on how to safeguard his website and space against further costs/problems. Now he can act on it, or ignore it - but its his pocket - and at that point i withdraw from having anything to do with his issue.

@ Louva - I have a nice friend who hosts my downloads - not as advanced as you guys, but he rents servers to gamers for peanuts! and they are bloody good as well

I happen to know of a dedicated server deal for $99 a month that gives you 1000gigs of bandwidth a month and like an 80gig hardrive. Too bad for them

@Chips - Our filesystem has been around for about 2 years and has the prestigous honor of having earned the ire of GameSpy's staff Anyway I wonder if I could help TLR get setup with some decent mirrors..
