How come TNG ver 1.59 isn''t working?

It would seem that when I downloaded the new version of TNG (1.59) it came with the default weapon_equip.ini and shiparch.ini. They were both encrypted, and the mod didn't work. Is anybody else having this problem? Also, the constants.ini is unchanged along with the st_equip.ini but that seems to be all.

UPDATE: Nevermind, I was informed that the mod is cheat protected and this is how. I never intended to cheat, but I wanted to mod it for SP use. Ah well.

to what extent is it cheat protected? And how? Why wouldent monkeysoft figure out this cheat prvention? And why cant i just edit it for single player?

Because if you can edit it for single player, then you can edit it for multi player. That was microsoft's greatest flaw with the game. Single player hacks work on MP which is why they got blasted for releasing the product like that.

It's also why they rushed to get the 1.1 server patch out to try and address all the cheating issues.

OK now working huh....hmm lets see, what the computer isn;t working? The game crashes? You can't buy a ship???

Might wanna give a little more detail then "it isn't working". I'm not psychic you know.

(?) After completing the race in v1.59 and when ur sent to the Glorious it won't allow me to dock. I have tried to dock using 7 different fighters from the Enterprise to the mad bluey-purply light fighter. Can you tell me why this is and how to fix it.

Upgrade to 1.60 this has been fixed.

Hey Red General, if you downloaded TNG 1.60 and it says that the file is not complete, you probably downloded it when the file was being uploaded. That's what happend to me last time...

My file was only 6MB when I finished downloading. It's supposed to be around 30MB... Good flyin'!
