Creating SUR files?

Is it possible to create your own SUR files? from scratch.
Like custom ones that fit your custom ship exactly, using the custom ships mesh.

Not exactly, but you can use the FLmodeltool to resize an existing SUR to one of your ships.

damm, thats what i thought. i really need to make custom ones beacsue my ships/stations i am making dont exactly look like any of the Default FL ships.
